WHAT YOU NEED FOR THE AUDITION

 

The Piano accompaniment for your song.

 

You are required to have purchased the sheet music for your song in order to perform.

                                                                   (Accompanist will be provided)

 

WHAT TYPE OF SONG?

 

A holiday or motivational song that will reflect the sentiment for this time of year.

 

 

HOW MUCH OF THE SONG WILL YOU PERFORM FOR THE AUDITION?

 

The entire song should be memorized. You will not 

 

 

WHEN I AM DONE PERFORMING, WHAT DO I DO?

 

You may go home =)

 

 

OTHER information:

 

This will be a "blind" audition.  

 

You will be given a number (your name will not be used), and be ready to record/perform your 20 measures. Then you will pick up your belongings and leave to go home or head to homework hall. (There is no homework hall available on Friday.)

 

The auditions will be sent as a CD to a set of judges (selected LTMS faculty members).

The judges will choose the voices that demonstrate beautiful tone, accurate pitch and clear diction.

 

One student from each grade will be selected to perform, as a soloist, on the Winter Concert, November 29th, 7:00 P.M. at Lake Travis HIGH School.
